TMWG members,

The UMM document has been updated to N090R9.1 to incorporate the proposed
changes to Chapter 2 previously distributed (see below message).  (Jim
Clark indicated he had previously revised the metamodel in Chapter 9 to
agree with these changes to Chapter 2.)  I have changed the term BUSINESS
ENTITY proposed by Colin Clark to be BUSINESS INFORMATION OBJECT, and have
updated the Glossary in Annex 1 accordingly.  The definition for BUSINESS
INFORMATION OBJECT is taken from prior definitions for BUSINESS ENTITY,
BUSINESS ENTITY CLASS, and BUSINESS INFORMATION OBJECT (in the ebXML
Glossary).  I have deleted BUSINESS ENTITY, BUSINESS ENTITY CLASS, and
BUSINESS OBJECT from Annex 1.

Prior message to TMWG

Colin Clark requested some changes to Chapter 2, Business Modeling, for
which I have created a revision from the Dallas Chapter 2 attached as
Chapter 2 Business ModelingR1. Also included in Chapter 2R1are inserted
lines 124-129 in response to a comment by Brian Hayes (attached).  Please
review this revision to Chapter 2.  I will "accept the revisions" on 30
March if I don't receive any dissenting comments.

Most of Brian's comments now pertain to Chapter 9, Metamodel, with
reference to Chapter 2, and need to be addressed in particular by Jim.  I
have revised the line references in his comments to correlate with the new
Chapter 9.

When I created the new  Chapter 8, Patterns and Chapter 9, Metamodel, I
inadvertantly left out old 5.6, Business Information Structure Design
Metamodel and old 5.7, Business Information Structure Design Patterns.
They are now in 9.5 and 8.5 respectively (attached).
